| Scouse Phil | ||||
![]() Scouse Phil has been collaborating on various Layers of Sound projects for the best part of 2 years. Phil honed his funky bass in mid nineties Liverpool, before moving to Sheffield to join up with well hyped indie tykes Action Spectacular, with whom he released several well received EPs and albums in the UK and Japan in the late nineties and early naughties. During this period the band obtained record of the week in the sadly defunt Melody Maker, a 4 star review in Q, and played with various well known acts including Doves, Snow Patrol, Toploader and Badly Drawn Boy, with whom they appeared on Channel 4's Barfly Sessions. He now lives in London and is working on several music projects across various genres, but focussed on house. He features on the Layers of Sound tracks Thinking of You and I Can't Get No Sleep, as well a number of works in progress. Watch this space... |

| Nervous Rex | ||||
| Long time collaborator, Alex Hoskin, a.k.a. Nervous Rex, helped start the Layers of Sound ball rolling during jamming sessions in the summer of 97. From this point on, the LOS dream was born. Recently Layers of Sound and Nervous Rex reunited to collaborate on a remix of La Dolche Vita by David Holmes. Listen! Review by Future Music - "This is one of the better four/four tracks we've had, with some fine sounds and some well put together sections" | ||||
